Cauldrons may seem mystical to us now, but they used to be part of everyday life. "Their origins aren’t that interesting," Anderson says. "Cauldrons were practical tools found in almost any home, magic and mundane alike." You'd be just as likely to see someone cooking dinner in one as you were to see a witch using one to brew a potion or incense. "However, that doesn’t mean the cauldron isn’t significant to a witch," Anderson clarifies. "It represents the Goddess and her womb, the process of transformation and can be used in ritual to represent the water and fire elements."
